This policy explains what personal information teachhuman.com collects, why, who handles it for us, and the choices you have. teachhuman.com is the website of TeachHuman, run by Justin Slocum Bailey through Indwelling Language, LLC (“we”, “us”).
What we collect and why
- Contact form. Your first and last name, email address, phone number if you give it, your message, and whether you want TeachHuman emails. We use them to answer you and, if you ticked the box, to send you those emails.
- Newsletter form. Your first name and email address, to send you TeachHuman emails.
- Visits. Like most websites, the site records which pages are viewed, with your browser, device, approximate location and IP address, to keep the site secure and to see which pages are useful.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
- New Light Digital hosts and maintains the website on servers in the United States.
- Brevo delivers the emails the forms send: your message to us, and a confirmation to you.
- Google: messages arrive in our Google email account, and Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, counts visits and page views.
- Cloudflare protects the site and its forms from attacks and spam, including a check that a person, not a program, is sending a form. It also counts page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies.
- AddToAny provides the share buttons and loads them from its own servers.
Each of these companies handles the information under its own privacy policy.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga, _gid and similar) that tell one visit from another. Cloudflare may set a short-lived security cookie when it checks a visit. The site sets no advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can stop Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The site does not respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
How long we keep it
Messages and newsletter signups sent through the forms are kept in the website’s database and in our email, so we can answer you and send you what you asked for. We delete yours whenever you ask. Google Analytics keeps its data for at most 14 months.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to us through the contact page. You can also ask us at any time to stop sending you emails.
Courses and other websites
Courses at learn.teachhuman.com run on Thinkific, which has its own privacy policy. Links to other sites, such as YouTube or Instagram, take you to services with their own policies.
Children
This website is meant for adults: teachers, school leaders and other educators. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we publish the new version on this page with a new date at the top.
